Welcome to Doggy Day Out, where dogs spend their days exploring private bush blocks, swimming in natural rivers, and running freely with their pack through the Waikato outdoors. Our adventures are built around nature, enrichment, and giving dogs the freedom to sniff, explore, play, and simply be dogs in safe and supervised environments.

At Doggy Day Out, our days are built around calm pack energy, outdoor adventure, and giving dogs the freedom to explore in safe and structured environments. With carefully managed group sizes, every dog has the space to socialise, play, and enjoy the day at their own pace.

Each adventure begins with pick-ups across Hamilton in our spacious & dog designed transport bus. Upon arrival at our native bush headquarters, the pack settles in and prepares for the day ahead. Depending on the day and season, adventures may include exploring a large private predator-managed bush block, native bush walks, natural rivers and ponds, open paddocks, or local Waikato beaches alongside their pack companions.

All dogs complete a meet and greet before joining to ensure their temperament is suited to a balanced off-leash pack environment where dogs can feel comfortable, confident, and relaxed alongside their companions. With experienced supervision throughout the day, we create safe and enriching outdoor experiences designed around letting dogs simply be dogs.

Doggy Day Out
Doggy Day Out is a safe, fun, and stimulating day service for your dog. Each day is an adventure, with outdoor play, socialisation, and plenty of space to explore in a natural setting.
What’s included
• Pick up and drop off
• Supervised outdoor play and exercise
• Rest breaks and quiet time as needed
• Socialisation with other friendly dogs
• A safe, natural environment (no concrete kennels)
Your dog will come home happy, tired, and enriched.
Pricing & Packages

• Two or More Dogs: $45 per dog per day (inc gst)
Behaviour Training
From $200
For dogs who need extra support, we offer an intensive training programme designed to help with everyday challenges. This training builds confidence, improves behaviour, and helps your dog thrive both at home and during Doggy Day Out.

• Reliable recall
• Obedience and focus on commands
• Barking control
• Calm leash walking without pulling
• Reactivity or aggressive behaviours toward people or other dogs

Each programme includes a personalised assessment, small-group sessions, and owner guidance to ensure progress continues at home.

REQUIREMENTS
​Every dog is different, so we start with a friendly meet & greet before joining Doggy Day Out. This helps us get to know your dog and make sure they’ll be comfortable, safe, and happy in the group.
For everyone’s wellbeing, dogs must be desexed, in good health, and up to date with vaccinations including core vaccinations (Canine Parvovirus, Distemper, and Hepatitis), Kennel Cough, and Leptospirosis, as well as regular flea and worm treatments.
If extra support or training is needed, we’ll talk this through with you one-on-one.
DISCLAIMER: Whilst all care will be taken on Doggy Day Out adventures, issues may occur (as they can with any animal) which are beyond our control. Should any issue or injury occur we will endeavour to contact you (or your designated emergency contact). If the issue is time-critical we will go to our vet (or yours) at your expense, to obtain immediate treatment. Full details are set out in our Terms & Conditions (signed on enrolment).
